Spinning and Spinning
Spinning and spinning up to the speed that you need to break free and get to where you want to be, but do you see that the other side for which you pine is designed as a trap, to capture the momentum you've built up and keep you spinning and spinning without a break, and never actually takes you anywhere, just there, spinning and spinning, a gear in the machine that you keep clean with spinning rags and vacuum bags being filled until they pop and spill to make another mess to clean up with more spinning and spinning and spinning.
Exposure
Taking pictures trapped in time
Prints on film and in the mind
Exposures all in part the same
New ideas with different names
Captured, printed in two dimensions
Yet deeper altering our intentions
With new information of broader horizons
Images that will open your eyes in
Spectrums of extradimensional pigments
New views of reality's figment
Prints on film and in the mind
Exposures all in part the same
New ideas with different names
Captured, printed in two dimensions
Yet deeper altering our intentions
With new information of broader horizons
Images that will open your eyes in
Spectrums of extradimensional pigments
New views of reality's figment

Zombie Land
Walk around on zombie streets
Where all the zombies that you meet
Wander 'round with out an aim
Pawns in someone elses game
Waiting for their turn to come
Walk the streets of zombie land
See undead shamblers under the command
Of some dark hidden master
Who awaits a great disaster
Guessing where it will be from
Always watching, he looks out towards
The landscape filled with zombie hordes
Flesh barely clinging to skeletons
And wraiths that drift forever on
Thinking this is eternity
But in the woods the werewolves prowl
While vampires hide in lofty towers
Whose foundations are starting to crack
Split by roots that won't be held back
From a great undying tree
That gathers spirits of slaughtered creatures
Which find willing hosts and show their features
Unleashing the vengeance from the pain they felt
When they were killed for meat or pelt
Dying in violent confusion
But the animal spirits will be put to rest
And their murderers made to pay their debts
When the life-suckers' secrets are made known
And each of the zombies can be shown
That their slavers were just an illusion

Stuck Dreaming
Stuck dreaming, believing an American dream
Kept sedated so I won't realize
Given everything I need on a TV screen
So I won't even have to close my eyes
Stuck dreaming, believing that we're all free
And everything I see has got to be right
So sweat shop labor won't matter to me
As long as the sweat shops are kept out of sight
Stuck dreaming, believing what I want to believe
Believing I'm able to create an uprise
I'm free to do it whenever I please
Unless I'm so sedated that I don't realize
I'm stuck dreaming, in a cloudy land of bliss
Spending all my time on spending my time
Never noticing all the things I miss
Too busy just trying to try to survive
Stuck dreaming, that there's an easier way
I'll be saved by a last minute stroke of luck
Or by some salesman that I'll have to pay
Who was waiting, watching for me to get stuck
Dreaming, thinking that things would look up
Looking up to see faces staring down at me
Dividing and deciding if I'll make the cut
If I'm worth the time it takes to see
But I'm stuck dreaming of ways I might impress
The interested investors who will buy my time
Cause I don't use it, except to get washed and dressed
To show prospective buyers my goods are fine
But I'm stuck dreaming, that old American scheme
Thinking I can do anything that I please
But my plans aren't turning out how they seemed
And the more I try the more I feel diseased
I'm stuck in a dream
Or so it seems
But it's not mine
Is it yours
Why should I wait
At open gates
Getting irate
For an answer
Why do I stand
At a line in the sand
When I don't understand
Who drew it
Wait to be told
What I'll be sold
It's the same same old
But I'll buy it
It's all I can afford
And there'll be no more
Without our support
You better know it
So you can belong
Act like nothings wrong
Sing the same old song
And enjoy it
suppression
training my brain to remain insane
training me to be a killing machine
look at the numbers, not the faces
speak with fists and not embraces
no matter what, you must despise
before you're close enough to look in their eyes
your first impression must be to not be impressed
to reduce the feelings that you'll have to suppress
Like rats
Like rats, fighting with eachother for table scraps
Like rats, feeding on the corpses of other rats
Like rats, ready and waiting for a fight
Like rats, scurrying at the flash of lights
The Whisper in the Trees
When the whisper blowing in the trees
Is singing out for you to believe
But your ear is too plugged to hear it
Your eye is caught by a glow it sees
That slowly reveals it's complexities
Showing you that there's no need to fear it
Secrets shared for taking the time
To make you once again feel sublime
As your bloodshot eyes start tearing
And the wind still whispers in the trees
As you send back the bill for your cable fees
So you can choose which channel you're hearing
Cue Card
The world at your finger tips
With just a few clicks
But do you take
The chance to find it
Or instead are you lead
In circles past the logos
And the brand names
Illustrated by scenes
Of the nuclear age family
Filling your eyes
Till you despise
Anything thats different
From how that looks
And you believe it all as if
You read it in a book
Cause you read it
Or someone said it
And nowadays that's
A rare event to witness
But that's the reason I'm afraid
No one's gonna get this
Because it's rare
For you to hear
Someone saying something
That you haven't already heard
When everybody's reading
Off of the same cue card
